Today was another early start in order to get up to Dunsborough by 9am
I had arranged to meet again with Mistraluna to tackle the new Goldilocks series caches caches in the Northern area of the cape
Once I arrived we quickly set off via Eagle Bay to pick up a cache then spent a pleasant morning driving down the Three Bears 4wd track to the parking area
We then returned back up the hill collecting the Goldilocks caches and signing the logs along the way
The ocean was quite rough this morning with a strong easterly wind and occasional rain showers
We did not see any whales today as they were hard to spot due to the choppy conditions
When we arrived there was a large group of vehicles parked at the various carparks along the coast
We found a place to park then I collected a rubbish bag
There were many other cachers all trudging up and down the beach so I set off along the roadside above the beach to look for trash
The area had been cleaned up pretty good already so was only able to find a few small pieces of trash
Luckily I had been collecting trash over the last couple of days while caching and had a good amount stored on my vehicle
The sun was out and the beach looked amazing
After about an hour of wandering around with some other cachers chatting and not finding much trash we decided to call it a day
I got back to my car to find Lazzarus had dropped some GCA moveables on my windscreen for me, Ha Ha
We headed back to the Event site so Mistraluna could pick up her car
Along the way we drove along the Meelup road so she could find and log the new caches along the coast
It was past lunch so we headed into Busselton, stopping at a fast food outlet to grab a bite to eat
I had to pick up Chloe in town later so we drove around finding some more new caches around town
We had good success apart from one DNF
I dropped Mistraluna off at her car and we said our farewells
The day had been another very busy caching adventure and I enjoyed myself very much but I was very tired and looked forward to heading home for a cuppa and a rest
I am looking forward to next years event, wherever that might be
I can only hope it is as much fun as this years was
