South Coast Tag along cacheing trip

Friday  11 Jan 2019

This camping caching adventure was a trip away with Charlie

After a busy morning running around finishing off a few last minute lock jobs I managed to get a quick lunch and start packing the camping gear
This is such a time consuming task as I have to remove all my work gear out of the ute work body, packing it into various plastic containers and stacking it on shelves in the garage
Then I start packing the camp stuff in
It usually takes about 3 hours

Once I had all the gear packed it was a short drive down to Alexanda Bridge camp ground
We arrived just in time to meet with Mistraluna and Wayne (Red Roo) and after a bit of a scout around the camp ground we chose a spot where we could all set up in a group

Shane (Shark Caver) soon also arrived and set up his camp then we went for a walk to find a nearby cache

Alexandra Bridge Camp Area         GC3TDQA

I didn't need to find this one as it was one of my caches. After a quick look around the find was made and the cache logged by the other members of the group

Shane had brought his daughter along for the trip and she and Charlie became instant friends, it's amazing how kids can do that
They went off to the river for a swim while we sat around chatting and relaxing in the warm late afternoon

Charlie managed to catch a small fish with his bare hands, ha ha

Dinner was an easy one as Jacki arrived with 'Uber Eats' ha ha

During the evening we had a visit from one of the very cute 'locals'

A great start to another amazing adventure, we were all looking forward to the next day to tackle some tough caches, but that is a whole different story............
