Day 5
Today was a bit of a slow start, we took our time this morning having a relaxing morning
Shane made breakfast for the kids and they went off exploring and having fun
Mistraluna and Wayne had set off early to go find some local caches so we took our time packing up camp
Once we were just about done the others returned and we set off on the days adventure
Our first cache was a return to Beedelup Falls to have another look for the one we had DNF'd yesterday
Beedelup Falls GC110AF
The team set off from the carpark along the Bibbulmun track towards GZ, the team continued searching as before but Charlie had a fresh perspective and soon found its hidey hole
The cache was signed and replaced as found and we returned to our vehicles to our next destination

One Of The Favourites GC7GJBE
It was a pleasant drive through the wonderful forests to this place
Charlie was quick to jump out and dash to find the cache
What a surprise to find this collectors item out in the bush, not what I would have chosen to do with it, ha ha
The cache was signed by all and replaced then off again to the next one
Lake Yeagerup GC6G0HE
We had a pleasant drive trough the forest to this spot. The lake was a wonderful surprise as I had not seen it before. We had a quick find and stood on the boardwalk to get some photos of the lake.
Shane and I decided to let the kids have a bit of fun and we headed towards the Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree, a nearby fire lookout tree
Mistraluna and Wayne went off to find a nearby cache series, the Heartbreak trail
Along the way we stopped at a POI the Marianne North Tree to have a look and get some photos
Once we arrived at the lookout tree the kids were very quick to start the climb up to the top of this, the tallest fire lookout tree
Once the kids had done the tree climb we jumped back in the car and headed south towards Windy Harbour
When we arrived in town we did a drive by the local caravan park to check out what the facilities were like. I liked the look of the campground, we had some other free camp options nearby but I was happy to pay a little bit to be able to enjoy a nice shower
We then headed off to find some nearby caches
First stop was
Wonderful Windy GC7CWB7
This was a nice quick find after parking nearby and walking to a lookout point at the top of a sand dune. After enjoying the view we set off to find the next one
Take me to church GC7D3FV
The team set off down to the beach and searched among the rocks and soon made the find and had the log signed
Such a beautiful beach and headland here
Tookalup GC7D3E5
I had spotted the lighthouse at the top of the hill and made a bee line to it so I could get some photos to be able to log a find as a GCA virtual cache and in doing so I had lost contact with the group as they had set off to find this cache
When I realized they had not followed me I back tracked to find them
We met up on the board walk lookout
The views here were amazing, we enjoyed soaking in the coastal scenery and the fascinating rock formations
Point D'entrecastreaux Nature's Window GC7D3EJ
Back tracking once again, this time with the group, we all parked up and set off walking along the path to the lookout
A quick find here, however I was somewhat concerned about Charlies ventures off the path with evidence of possible sinkholes and the possibility of a collapse
The views were once again spectacular and well worth the visit
The lighthouse
It was now time to go set up camp and prepare our dinners and we headed in to town stopping at the caravan park office to pay our camping fees then drove to the camp area to set up our camp
There was lots of spaces to chose from and we set up in a semi circle to try to block the sea breeze as best as we could
It had been another amazing day of caching and sharing the adventure with a great group
During the night I woke up to go to the loo and was amazed to see the sky lit up with a blazing milky way overhead. The stars were incredibly bright and clear, they seemed so close I felt I could almost reach up and scoop them out of the sky
While I was marvelling at the spectacle I witnessed 5 or 6 shooting stars flash brightly then wink out almost as fast as they appeared. I was one of the most amazing night skies I had ever seen
